Chili Seasoning

Share This:

This chili seasoning has a great multi-purpose flavor. With a hint of smoke, and a bit of heat, it helps add dimension to chili and many other recipes.

I am always looking for ways to make cooking faster, easier, and more convenient. Unfortunately, I have yet to find a chili seasoning that hits the mark. So my Dad and I made this one! My favorite use for it is pretty obvious… Chili. But I also enjoy the flavors on chicken, vegetables, and in black beans & rice.

I love this seasoning because although it has a ton of flavor, it is comprised mostly of pantry staples. Plus, you just mix everything together and you are good to go. It doesn’t get much easier than that. And it is nice to have complete control over what goes into your food. When you make your own seasonings, you are able to adjust the amount of sodium, and the actual flavor. Fine-tuning the exact amount of heat in the recipe is a bonus of making it yourself.

Here are a few recipes that use this seasoning:

Grilled Chili Lime Chicken
Healthy Chili

Since it can be used in many different recipes, I always like to make a large batch and save some for later. It will last in the pantry just like any other spice as long as you keep it in an air-tight container.
